## What is your fuel policy?

As we offer unlimited mileage (cover as much distance as you want), fuel is not included in the rental cost. The vehicle will be handed over with a certain fuel level, and renters are expected to refuel as needed during the rental period. Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had at the start. Kindly note that we do not provide refunds or compensation for any excess fuel left in the tank. If the car is given to you with more than a quarter tank of fuel, we may ask for a refundable fuel deposit. After the trip we refuel the car to the level it was given to you and refund the balance.

The rate for a driver starts at KES 3,000 per day for withing Nairobi county and KES 4,500 per day for outside Nairobi county. This does not cover food/accommodation. We can also provide a driver for a longer period of time, depending on your needs. Self drive options are available for those who prefer to drive themselves. ## Why do I need to create an account?

As EliteMotion Luxury continues to expand its fleet and operations, creating an account is now the most essential step in securing your premium travel experience. Due to our rapid growth, the only way to officially guarantee that your vehicle is truly reserved and protected from scheduling conflicts is by having a confirmed booking within our centralized portal. Furthermore, please note that all promotional rates and loyalty discounts are processed through our system; management can only review and approve discount requests once a customer has a registered account. By signing up, you ensure that your reservation is prioritized, your discounts are applied, and your luxury vehicle is waiting for you exactly when you need it.

## What documents do I need to rent a car?

You'll need a valid driver's license, a form of identification (such as an ID or a passport), (optional) proof of residence and (optional) proof of place of work/business. For first time clients we will need proof of residence eg: delivering the car to your home. For international clients, an International Driving Permit may be required.

## Can foreigners drive and rent a self-drive car in Kenya with a foreign driving licence?

Yes, with an accepted, valid licence. US and UK government guidance allows visitors to drive in Kenya for up to three months with a valid US licence or UK photocard licence respectively. Check your own licence country. Its format and the length of your stay affect the requirements, and a non-English licence may need an accepted translation or an International Driving Permit (IDP). Bring your original licence too. For a stay beyond three months, ask NTSA which IDP or Kenyan licence requirements apply before your allowance ends. Send us your travel dates and licence details before collection so we can review the rental documents and complete your identity checks. This is general information, not legal advice. Before making any decision, refer to the current Kenyan law and applicable regulations. Confirm your requirements with NTSA or a qualified Kenyan legal adviser. Do not rely on this FAQ alone. ## Where is your office located?

Our main office is located on the 4th Floor, Trio Complex, Nairobi, and is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Kindly note the for card payments, you will be required to share your tax documents eg KRA PIN before paying. Other payment methods that might not have these charges are available on request.

## Why do I get a photo of the car only 24-28hrs before the rental?

The car might still be in other bookings and we need share the exact number plate, insurance details and exact photos once the other client has returned the car. Another reason is security reasons, we sometimes do not share pictures of the before we have done due diligence on the client. For some units like the black Toyota Prado, we have over 30 units that look exactly the same on the inside and outside, the only difference is the number plate.

## What time am I supposed to return the vehicle?

When we hand over the car to you, your billing period starts right away and works in 24-hour blocks. We don’t offer half-day or quarter-day rates. Also, when it comes to returning the car, just bring it back or have it picked up at the exact same time you got it. For example, if you got the car at 9 a.m., you’ll return it at 9 a.m. the day it’s due back.

## Can I get an eTIMS (KRA) tax invoice?

Yes, we can share an eTIMS tax invoice provided you have completed KYC and shared your KRA PIN with us. Kindly note that all prices on the website are tax exclusive (VAT at 16% will be added on top). Please also note that for deliveries we send our drivers, not our accounting team, so KRA PIN details and eTIMS invoice requests must be arranged with us in advance and cannot be handled by the delivery driver on site.

Yes, we offer child seats for an additional fee starting at KES 5000/- per day. Please let us know at least one week in advance if you need a child seat.

## What happens if I get a tyre puncture or tyre damage during my rental?

Tyre punctures are a normal risk when driving and can happen unexpectedly. Because the client controls where and how the vehicle is driven, puncture repairs and related tyre damage are the client's responsibility during the rental period. Insurance policies in Kenya do not cover tyre punctures or tyre damage. If you get a puncture, stop somewhere safe and contact EliteMotion immediately before arranging any repair. Do not repair or replace a tyre without our written approval. The client is also responsible for related call-out, towing, or recovery costs unless EliteMotion confirms otherwise in writing.

## What is a teardrop Prado?

The teardrop Prado is usually the 2013 to 2017 J150 facelift, and the facelift that came after it is usually the 2017 to 2023 J150 second facelift; the easiest way to tell them apart is the lights, because the teardrop has longer, more droopy, pointed headlights that slope downward, that look like teardrops, while the later facelift has sharper, squarer, more upright headlights that make the front look bolder and more modern, and in general there are no engine or gearbox differences. The biggest change is mainly the shape, styling, and updated interior look rather than a dramatic mechanical difference.

Please note that for deliveries we send our drivers, not our KYC team, so the KYC verification must be completed with us in advance, our delivery drivers are not able to collect or verify KYC documents on site.
